Jeremy Hill is ready to find a new team in free agency

Former Cincinnati Bengals running back Jeremy Hill is on the mend and ready to find a new NFL team this summer.

Hill’s first post-Bengals stint ended early after he joined the New England Patriots and suffered a season-ending injury in Week 1.

Now he’s about ready to get back on the field.

“I think for me coming off a big ACL injury, I’m just doing what I can to get back to 100 percent,” Hill said, according to Herbie Teope of The Advocate. “I know there’s going to be a job waiting on me when I get cleared, so that’s all I’m doing now.”

Hill was playing on a one-year deal when he went down and it was an unfortunate end, especially because it looked like he had a solidified role in the backfield and was having an impact on special teams.

Still only 26 years old, Hill can point to his 2,989 yards, 29 touchdowns and 4.1 per-carry average as a bargaining chip while seeking out a backfield role somewhere.

That somewhere won’t be Cincinanti, of course, with the Bengals boasting Joe Mixon and Giovani Bernard, plus at least two rookies they drafted this offseason.
