Jeremy Corbyn’s brother slammed for picture of swastika next to Greta Thunberg

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s brother has been slammed for tweeting a picture of a swastika next to Greta Thunberg.

Piers Corbyn, a weather forecaster, has attacked the 17-year-old climate activist previously, branding her an “ignorant, brainwashed child”.

In a tweet on Saturday, he shared an image of her alongside a Nazi flag with its red background changed to green.

His attack was part of a string of tweets he made claiming to “debunk” manmade climate change.

In the thread, Corbyn, 72, shared a video of himself arguing with “GretaGoons” in Bristol.

Miss Thunberg was in the city on Friday for a climate strike attended by more than 15,000 people.

The Labour leader's brother is a controversial weather forecaster and a fervent climate change denier.

As the owner of WeatherAction, Piers Corbyn claims to make accurate weather forecasts for up to a year in advance.

The 68-year-old maverick is a fierce critic of other forecasters who back the theory of man-made global warming.

He bases his weather predictions on the sun’s activity and claims earthquakes can be triggered by the sun’s actions. He says that gives him some success in predicting quakes.

The forecaster has even accused the Government of causing “suffering and deaths” which could be avoided if politicians stopped trying to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

Like his brother, Piers is no stranger to political activism. He was a housing and squatters’ rights activist in Westminster in the mid-1970s.

In 1974 he fought for a council seat in London as a “Squatters and Tenants” candidate.
