Jeremy Clarkson wants Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen's help with problematic sheep

Jeremy Clarkson has said that there is only one person who can help him on his Diddly Squat Farm and that is Amanda Owen.

The 61-year-old The Grand Tour host and car enthusiast has embraced farming in recent times, swapping city life for the countryside and is documenting his new venture in Amazon Prime series Clarkson's Farm.

The former Top Gear host is having a few problems with his sheep and he reckons there is only one person who could save the day and it is the 46-year-old Yorkshire shepherdess, who stars in her Channel 5 series, Our Yorkshire Farm.

Jeremy has a flock of 76 sheep but he says they are costing him a "fortune" and has branded them an "errant flock".

He said that they have already broken through a neighbour's electric fence.

The presenter turned farmer revealed that his "errant flock" had broken through a neighbour's electric fence.

Jeremy has tried to embrace new technology in his bid to bring the sheep under control by using a drone to get them in order but they have failed to respond.

They have also got themselves entangled in wire mesh and he has branded them a "pain the a***".

Now he thinks that Amanda Owen is his only hope and wants to make a proposition to see if she will buy the sheep off of him and thus, solve his problem in an instant.

Speaking to the Times, Jeremy said: “It’s nice having them around and the lambs are great and they make nice noises, but God almighty, they’re a pain in the a***.

"I might sell them all to that Yorkshire shepherdess woman.”

Jeremy has said that he is not seeing how beneficial the sheep are as they are costing him financially.

He said: "Sheep are complicated to keep and they make no money.

"When you shear a sheep, it costs you £1.45 to have it sheared and the wool is worth 30p. It’s not really a business proposition."

Jeremy also told The Sun: "The Yorkshire Shepherdess, I’ve got the greatest respect for the way they live as I know that part of the world and it’s brutal in the winter up there, it’s not easy."
