Jeremy Clarkson spotted in Clevedon restaurant for lunch

He made a Weston-born man very happy on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? as he told Donald Fear he had just won £1million.

Now it seems the quiz show host, and star of The Grand Tour Jeremy Clarkson, is making a connection to North Somerset again as he was spotted in a well-known seafood restuarant.

PURO restaurant and bar, on Hill Road, Clevedon, posted a photo of the former Top Gear star on its Facebook page after he stopped for lunch on Thursday (September 17).

On the 'Everything Else Clevedon' Facebook page, PURO said it was a pleasure to host him, before posting on its own page that the restaurant had to "keep quiet" about the celebrity guest.

The posts read: "Thank you, Mr Clarkson. It was a pleasure having you in for lunch today."

They added: "We had to keep quiet about yesterday's guest. But yes, Jeremy Clarkson stopped by for lunch."

Hundreds took to social media to express their shock at the news, with many giving differing views on their thoughts on Mr Clarkson.
