Jeremy Clarkson slams Sheryl Underwood for PTSD claims amid Sharon Osbourne row

Jeremy Clarkson has joined in the Sheryl Underwood versus Sharon Osbourne feud.

The former Top Gear presenter has criticised the American comedian for claiming that she's suffering from PTSD due to "trauma" following her on-air fallout with former co-star Sharon on stateside chat show The Talk.

The women came to blows after Sheryl hit out at Sharon's defence of Piers Morgan's scathing comments regarding Meghan Markle.

And not one to mince his words, Jeremy, 61, has branded 57-year-old Sheryl a "wetty".

He said: "We were told last week that a woman who had an on-air clash with Sharon Osbourne about Piers Morgan’s observations on the royal family was claiming to have PTSD.

"Yup, she reckons that after a brief bit of lady gossip, she is suffering from the exact same problem that soldiers have after they’ve survived a bombing raid.

"If I were to give her a nickname it’d be Wetty."

He then sarcastically added that he couldn't actually give her a nickname as "that would give her even more PTSD".

The ladies' fallout led to Sharon, 68, leaving The Talk after almost 11 years on the show.

The former X Factor judge revealed live on air in March that she felt as though she was "about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend who many people think is a racist so that makes me a racist."

On the show's first episode back in April after nearly a month's hiatus, Sheryl told viewers: "I feel like I am in PTSD because it was a trauma and I feel like I want to get past this because I really wanted to get to work with my friends and my colleagues."

And despite Sharon's apologies for her part in the argument, her now former colleague shunned her approach to make amends.

Sharon has since said that Sheryl is now nothing more than a workmate and had broke her heart.

She revealed she felt huge anger towards the American because she thought she would back her up as not being a racist, but instead she attacked her.
