Jeremy Clarkson's 'stupidest idea yet' caused Kaleb Cooper to leave farm

Former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has spoken of his "stupidest idea yet" to boost revenue for his Oxfordshire farm, which made his land agent leave, reports Nottinghamshire Live. The 62-year-old has starred in several Amazon Prime productions since he was forced out of the BBC in 2015.

Clarkson's Farm is one of such programmes, in which Jeremy attempts to make Diddly Squat Farm, which he purchased in 2008, productive again. He said that his latest plans to become a pig farmer made co-star Kaleb Cooper leave Oxfordshire for a week.

He said: "Cheerful Charlie Ireland, my land agent, says this is the stupidest idea I've had yet and wants no part of it. Kaleb was so unpleased that he got into his pick-up truck and went to Cornwall for a week."

Jeremy justified his thinking by arguing that pigs are "much cheaper" to buy than other livestock such as cows or sheep, as they "hose out" piglets like "machinegun bullets". He wrote: "You buy ten pigs for a few quid and three months later you have ten million.

"That's profit, right there. Pure, naked profit.

"Charlie responded to this argument by rolling his eyes and going home. Which meant that Lisa and I had to spend a week or two learning an all-new language: pig."
