Jeremy Clarkson has revealed a royal recently visited his Diddly Squat farm in the Cotswolds.
The former Top Gear host’s 1,000-acre farm and its adjoining shop in Oxfordshire has become hugely popular with fans thanks to its appearance in his Amazon Prime Video series, Clarkson’s Farm.
And the 65-year-old revealed even royals want to get the farm experience, with a teenage Arab prince paying a visit earlier this month.
Clarkson had thought the unnamed royal would be “surly and entitled” - but praised the young man’s impeccable manners with his staff.
“We had an actual Arab prince to the farm for lunch last week. He was a teenager so you’d imagine he was both surly and entitled. But he wasn’t,” he wrote in his Times column on Sunday.
“Every time a lady came past the lunch table, he stood up and when our housekeeper arrived to clear away the plates, he leapt to his feet, helped her and even loaded the dishwasher.”

The Grand Tour alum shared the anecdote while praising the “immaculate” manners of “rich Arabs” compared with wealthy Englishmen who he claimed “swagger and boast” around the country.
“You should see how they treat their chauffeurs and their helicopter pilots and their security teams. It’s immaculate,” he penned.
It comes after Clarkson defended the fourth series of his Prime Video series following claims it focused too much on his pub, The Farmer’s Dog.
While earlier seasons of Clarkson’s Farm followed his efforts to run Diddly Squat Farm, this installment centred on the challenges of launching the new business.
Taking to X, Clarkson shared a playful poll: “Series 4 of Clarkson’s Farm. Who do we like most? Endgame? Or Richard Ham?”
One follower replied: “Talking about the TV show, I enjoyed more when it was more farm related. The pub was as overwhelming to you as for us lol.”
Clarkson hit back simply: “I know what you mean but the pub IS farm related.”
Over on Reddit, fans echoed similar concerns, with one writing: “Season 4 was more like Clarkson’s Pub than Clarkson’s Farm.”
Another added: “The show would be a lot more interesting if they focused more on the farm, and less on the pub and other outside activities.”
