Jeremy Clarkson has been ordered to shut down a restaurant on his farm that he opened with his Dublin girlfriend Lisa Hogan.
The couple own the Diddly Squat Farm restaurant, which was built on land owned by Jeremy in the Cotswolds. The couple’s venture was featured extensively on the Amazon TV series ‘Clarkson’s Farm’.
However, the Oxfordshire farm has been the subject of contention amongst local officials over its planning permission. Officials described the toilets, parking, and traffic that accompany the restaurant as “visually intrusive and harmful” to the picturesque local countryside.

The former ‘Top Gear’ presenter claimed back in July that a loophole had been found to secure the restaurant’s future on the farm. However, the issue has raised its head again and the local council in Oxfordshire are requesting for the removal of the restaurant, in addition to its outdoor furniture.
Jeremy's agents claim he has not breached planning permission and have criticised the decision made by the council as an “excessive one.” The business has proved popular in recent years since the release of the Amazon series. Products such as the farm’s own brand fresh milk, aptly called Cow Juice, are held in high regard by local visitors.
The broadcaster has owned his Cotswold Farm since 2008 but the restaurant itself was only created in 2020. Lisa Hogan is a partner in the business and also writes movie scripts outside of the venture.
The 48-year-old jokingly told BT that she does the most work for the business as Jeremy lacks the practical skills for farm work. The business is described as a “Cotswold emporium of edible delights” online.
The couple live together on the farm in Oxfordshire. Lisa previously ruled out marriage for the duo, saying that they were happy enough in the current relationship.
