Jeremy Clarkson took great glee in mocking Piers Morgan after he lost £15,000 on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire this evening.
The old enemies locked horns tonight as their passive aggressive banter was taken to the next level.
After getting to £16,000 question and using up his 50-50, ask the host and one of his phone-a-friends, Piers had one of the latter left.
He was asked: "Which of these world champion racing drivers has not been a teammate of Lewis Hamilton in Formula 1?"
Given the answers Kimi Raikkonen, Nico Rosberg, Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button, Piers admitted that he had no idea - and didn't reckon his phone-a-friend would either.
Despite that, he had no choice but to ask Susanna Reid - who was utterly baffled as to why he had chosen to ask her to help out.
After receiving no answer, Piers decided to guess but promised that he would make up the money to his charity if he was incorrect.
Unfortunately, his answer 'Jenson Button' was incorrect and he ended up winning only £1,000 for his charity.
And Jeremy revelled in his wrong answer, remarking: "They do say that if you wait by the riverbank for long enough, the bodies of your enemies will come floating by - and yours has come by."
He added: "You've humiliated yourself - you've cost yourself £15,000."
And fans found the passive aggressive banter hilarious and took to Twitter to comment.
