Jeremy Clarkson announces new addition to Clarkson's Farm

Jeremy Clarkson has shared some exciting news from the fields - fan-favourite cow Pepper has given birth for a second time.

Taking to Instagram, the TV presenter, 65, uploaded a picture of the proud new mum and her baby.

“Peppa’s had another calf,” he told his 8.9m followers in the accompanying caption.

As expected, the former Grant Tour presenter’s fans were thrilled and quick to share their delight in the comments.

“That’s amazing news! The star of the show,” declared one person.

“Pepper is probably the most recognised and beloved cow by car enthusiasts... in the world,” remarked another.

“This has made my day,” added a third.

At the start of Clarkson's Farm season three, the TV farmer was forced to sell off some of his cows, including Pepper.

The decision was made after the council closed his Diddley Squat restaurant because it meant he couldn't afford to keep them without having the outlet to sell the beef.

While the council’s ruling was later overturned, it came too late as Clarkson bid farewell to the cows, telling the cameras at the time: "I'm finding today really quite sad as for the last year I've been opening the windows, opening the curtains in the morning and there are the cows. And I love that. Making cow noises. It just cheers my heart every morning to see them."

There had initially been concerns that Pepper would be sent to the slaughterhouse, thankfully, that wasn’t to be her fate.

Instead, she was taxied off to her former owner and cow farmer, Tim.

A year later, he and girlfriend Lisa Hogan enjoyed an emotional reunion with Pepper and her new calf Tabitha - "Tabby" for short.

It had previously been believed that Pepper may have been barren, however, it turned out that she had got pregnant by the same bull who had been on Diddly Squat farm. Farmer Tim joked the cow just didn't like Oxfordshire.

Clarkson declared the calf the "sweetest" thing and Hogan agreed, saying: "You are the cutest thing. Look at the diddly little Pepper."

Season four of Clarkson’s Farm is set to drop on Prime Video on May 23. It has yet to be seen if Pepper and her latest off-spring will make a cameo.
