Jeremie Frimpong will undergo a Liverpool medical in the coming days, according to reports in Germany.
The former Celtic right-back is on the verge of becoming Reds player after impressing for Leverkusen since his £11.5million move from Parkhead in 2021.
He has become highly sought after and has been continually linked to a host of clubs, including Liverpool's rivals Manchester United.
But the Anfield club look to have won the race to sign the Dutch international, 24.
They are set to trigger his release clause of £35m to make Frimpong a Liverpool player and a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold who is Real Madrid-bound.

Sky Germany are reporting to medical will take place in a matter days and the former Hoops star will become Arne Slot's latest signing and the first of this summer.
Celtic are keeping an eye on this one as they are set to benefit financially.
