Jeremie Frimpong issues defiant Celtic declaration in indestructible message

Jeremie Frimpong has issued a defiant message after the Celtic rising star was stretchered off against Kilmarnock.

The right-back was worryingly subbed off towards the end of his side's 3-1 win after a heavy challenge from Alan Power.

But Neil Lennon revealed after the full time whistle the injury was not as serious as first feared.

And the youngster doesn't appear to be suffering any hangover from the collision from his latest social media update as he also pledged his support to Leigh Griffiths, who came under scrutiny from Sky Sports' pundit Kris Boyd.

He said: "Can't break us down!"

Scott Brown was critical of Power's challenge and claimed there would be calls for him to be banned if he had made it.

Lennon provided an update on Frimpong's injury after the game as the initial assessment revealed there just some bruising on his leg.

He told Sky Sports: "We just assessed him there, hopefully it's just a bit of bruising.

"I don't think there is a fracture there at the minute.

"We'll see how it reacts tomorrow.

"It's a heavy challenge and he was caught on the follow through.

"So we will have to assess him over the next couple of days and hopefully he'll be OK for the weekend."
