Jeremiah Ratliff, Robbie Gould inactive versus Cowboys

Dec. 05--Defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff and kicker Robbie Gould are among the Chicago Bears' inactives for Thursday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys at Soldier Field, both sidelined due to injuries.

Ratliff is battling a knee issue while Gould has been experiencing soreness in his quadriceps this week.

With the Bears' announcing their seven inactive players for Thursday's game, the absences of both Ratliff and Gould are notable.

Other players inactive are linebackers Khaseem Greene and Darryl Washington, cornerback Terrance Mitchell, offensive lineman Eben Britton and defensive end Cornelius Washington.

Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and safety Chris Conte will play against the Cowboys. Both players had been listed as questionable on the team's official injury report with hamstring and eye injuries respectively. But both will start, a somewhat promising development for a team looking to win its third consecutive game at home.

Gould miss just his fifth game since joining the Bears in 2005. The Bears signed veteran placekicker Jay Feely on Wednesday to fill in for Gould against the Cowboys.

Jeffery, is closing in on a second consecutive 1,000-yard season with 854 yards on 67 catches through 12 games. A year ago against the Cowboys, Jeffery had five catches for 84 yards, including a pivotal 25-yard touchdown grab in the final seconds of the first half.
