Jeopardy star James Holzhauer will be making a return to the show

Las Vegas-based sports gambler James Holzhauer captured the nation’s attention this summer with a historic 32-win run on Jeopardy that saw him bring in $2,464,216 in total winnings.

Though Holzhauer fell well short of Ken Jennings’ 74-win record, his unconventional Jeopardy strategy led to enormous single-day winnings (the top 10 single-day scores are all from Holzhauer). And he racked up the wins with humility and a sense of humor.

Well, Jeopardy James fans won’t have to wait too long to see him back on the show. He’s coming back for the Tournament of Champions.

Starting on Nov. 4, Jeopardy will bring back 15 notable past champions to compete for a $250,000 prize. Holzhauer headlined the field of champions.

Though Jennings isn’t returning to set up what would have been the most anticipated Jeopardy matchup ever, Emma Boettcher — who ended Holzhauer’s legendary run — will be among the tournament field.

November can’t come soon enough.
