‘Jeopardy!’ champion earns second $100k payday with a dominating win

James Holzhauer did it again.

On Tuesday’s episode of Jeopardy!, the professional sports gambler who lives in Las Vegas — and who’s now second on the game show’s all-time money list behind the legendary Ken Jennings — won $106,181 in his ninth straight victory.

Holzhauer previously won a game with $110,914, breaking the one-day record for the single largest Jeopardy! win. That means he’s the only player ever to break through the $100,000 barrier twice, and that’s thanks to his strategic moves to either go all-in or bet heavily on Daily Doubles. And now you have to wonder if the only way he’ll lose is if he misses one of those high stakes Daily Doubles, although that happened on Tuesday and he was just fine:
