However, Jenny was quick to inform her fellow Chasers that they were 'in trouble'.

Shaun Wallace also recognised Amy as she walked on the set, saying: "Amy is a quizzing legend."

Amy revealed she had been on TV shows 15:1, Weakest Link, Only Connect and Eggheads.

With the odds in her favour, she faced five multiple-choice questions, with the chance to bank up to £5,000.

Amy was then given the option of playing between two and five Chasers for increasing amounts of money, but with a decreasing time advantage against them.

As the money goes up, so does the number of Chasers she must face.

Having secured £3000 in the multiple-choice round, Amy chose to face four Chasers for £50k.

However, with 10 seconds to go things soon went awry and Amy lost out on the big jackpot.

Nevertheless Jenny admitted defeating Amy was a difficult challenge.

She said: "We are all very familiar with her face and reputation.

"We have come up against her in quiz leagues and Grand Prix."
