Jenny Ryan admits The Chase 'wouldn't be the same' without Bradley after retirement confession

Jenny Ryan says The Chase "wouldn't be the same" without Bradley Walsh after he opened up about retiring from the show.

The presenter has been at the helm of the ITV show since it started back in 2009 and chaser Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan has opened up about Bradley's contribution to the programme over the last decade.

Bradley recently insisted he will be retired and off TV screens within a couple of years.

Speaking about her close friendship with Bradley as she appeared on Good Morning Britain, she said: "It would not be the same show without Bradley, he's a fabulous host and I really enjoy working with him."

Jenny knew the show would be a success from the test pilot - because Bradley was involved.

She added: "I was involved in the test pilot, as soon as they said Brad was on-board I knew it was going to be a hit."

It comes after Bradley confessed he'll be retired within the next 24 months.

"You know what, in a couple of years time I won’t have to do any of it, I’ll be retired and that’ll be it," he said.

"I don’t actually have time off. I have meetings, I have personal appearances I have to make and stuff like that with other things I’ve got going on, so it’s quite tricky to juggle it about.

"The Chase allows me to do the other stuff which I really want to do – not that I don’t love doing The Chase."

Shaun Wallace - who also stars as a chaser on the show - also recently b roke his silence after Bradley's confession.

"It won't be the same without him. Let’s hope not," he gushed, "But if I’ve got anything to do with it, he’ll be going until his last breath."

Anne Hegerty also tried to put fans at ease after Bradley's comments, as she added: "I mean, I think this was Brad just talking off the cuff. I don’t think he has any plans to retire. I think he just meant, you know, obviously I can’t go on forever."

But for now, Bradley shows no sign of slowing down and will appear on TV five times in three days over Christmas.
