Jennifer Zamparelli has lifted the lid on her new radio gig for the first time saying: “This is a terrible idea.”
The 2FM star also insisted there were no hard feelings between her and previous presenters Jenny Greene and Nicky Byrne.
When asked how she was feeling ahead of her new show, which is set to launch on June 10, the Breakfast Republic DJ told the Irish Daily Mirror: “I’m very nervous.
“A) I have no idea how radio works and B) this is a f***ing terrible idea.
“OK and C) I will probably fail and that’s why they picked me because I’m like, ‘OK I’ll just move on’.”

Jenny Greene confirms she will leave RTE 2fm after 12 years in emotional farewell message
And the 39-year-old hinted at what is in store from her new mid-morning slot Jen At 10, revealing it will be a Gerry Ryan style programme, adding: “I’m going to do a talk show.
“But it’s not a comedy. They haven’t [done] it for a long time and it is usually successful.
“I think through research it showed people want that regardless of what was there before.”
But despite her nerves, the mum of two revealed after five years on the early morning slot, she was ready to move on from her Breakfast Republic team.

She said: “I’m going to miss them a lot.
“But the thing about it is, we’ve done five years getting up at the crack of dawn.
“I’m done with that now. You can’t really do that for too long.”
And squashing any speculation there were hard feelings between her and Greene after the news of her new gig was announced, she said: “We knew for a long time. Jenny knew for a long time. So it was no surprise.”
