Jennifer Lopez has talked to her twins about the moment she knew she was pregnant with them.
On her YouTube channel, J-Lo is filmed asking her twins, Emme and Max, 11, to interview her. “You can ask me anything you want in the whole entire world,” she tells them in the video. “Ask me anything!”
The kids initially focus on J-Lo’s childhood and the trouble she got into, but then Emme asks how Lopez felt when she found out she was having twins.
”I was doing a big show,” she explains to the twins. “I had just went away for two days. When I sat there, I was in my hair and make-up trailer, and here’s what I felt. In my belly, I felt a flutter. I felt like a little butterfly and immediately, I knew that I had life inside me. I knew it. It came right into my head.”
Though she knew it herself, J-Lo and her then husband Marc Anthony, went to the doctor for confirmation. “The doctor says, ‘You see that? That little grain of rice? That’s the baby,’ and we were like ‘Oh my God, we are having a baby,’” Lopez explained. “And then he says, ‘You see this other little grain of rice over here? That’s the other baby.’ And I was like, ‘What?!’ and I start laughing hysterically. I just laughed out loud. I couldn’t believe it. And that’s how I found out I was having twins.”
Emme also asks if she is Lopez’s favorite twin. “What!?” she exclaims. “I don’t have a favorite, I don’t believe in favorites. I could never think of one of you more than the other. I don’t understand that, I just don’t. I love you both so much.”
Lopez also reveals how she had no concept of what motherhood would be like until she became a mother herself. “I remember I used to give my friends who have kids advice all the time. And when I had you two – the minute I had you two – I literally apologized to all my friends. I go, ‘I am so sorry. I didn’t understand what it is [like] to have a child, ’” she tells her kids. “You cannot imagine what it’s like to be a mom until you are a mom.”
