Jennifer Lopez is set to star in the upcoming Netflix sci-fi movie 'Atlas,' which is scheduled to premiere on May 24. The film, directed by Brad Peyton, features a star-studded cast including Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, Gregory James Cohan, Abraham Popoola, Lana Parrilla, and Mark Strong.

'Atlas' follows the story of Atlas Shepherd, played by Lopez, a data analyst who must confront her reservations about artificial intelligence when she encounters challenges while on a mission to capture a rogue robot with whom she shares a complicated past. The teaser trailer shows Lopez's character in a high-stakes situation, calling out for help as her vessel faces imminent danger.

The film is helmed by director Brad Peyton, known for his work on 'Rampage,' and written by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite. The production boasts a team of producers that includes Lopez herself, along with Jeff Fierson, Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter.

Jennifer Lopez, who recently starred in Netflix's 'The Mother,' has been actively involved in various acting projects, including 'Shotgun Wedding' and 'Marry Me.' Additionally, she headlined the Prime Video project 'This Is Me…Now: A Love Story,' released in conjunction with her latest album.

Sterling K. Brown, known for his Emmy-winning role in 'This Is Us,' is also part of the cast. Brown, who was a presenter at the recent Oscars ceremony, is set to star in the upcoming Hulu series 'Washington Black.'

Simu Liu, who gained recognition for his role in 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,' is another prominent figure in the film. Liu also appeared at this year's Academy Awards and participated in the viral 'I'm Just Ken' performance led by Ryan Gosling.
