Jennifer Lopez made no mention of her split from Alex Rodriguez as she posted on Instagram on Friday.
Instead the mother-of-two reunited for a FaceTime call to comfort their crying 13-year-old twins Max and Emme, who were with her former husband Marc Anthony.
She wrote: "When you are sad but momma and daddy are there."
While JLo did not mention the reason for the upset, the twins had embraced sports star A-Rod and treated his two daughters as their sisters.
In the image Marc Anthony cuddles a child as J Lo watched via video link.
The post came as Page Six broke news of J Lo and A-Rod's separation.
The sad news comes two years after Alex popped the question to the Jenny From The Block hitmaker in a romantic beach proposal.
An insider told the US site: "He’s now in Miami getting ready for baseball season, and she’s filming her movie in the Dominican Republic."
A-Rod, 45, shared a picture of himself alone in Miami before the announcement with the caption: "Don’t mind me, just taking a sail-fie… What are your plans for the weekend?"
While Jennifer, 51, shared a montage of her past chat show appearances of hers and wrote cryptically in the caption: "Find a good reason to laugh today. Sending love to everyone."
The couple announced their engagement in 2019 after two years of dating.
Their wedding was postponed twice last year with JLo revealing in December: "We had to cancel the wedding … because of COVID, because of the quarantine. And we actually did it twice, which people don’t know."
She added: "I think we just feel like, ‘Let’s just wait it out.’ There’s no rush, we’re good, everything’s cool and it’ll happen when the time is right. I feel like it’s not a huge priority to go and have a big wedding right now, that’s not what life is about."
Things couldn't have been more different when Alex popped the question during a vacation in the Bahamas.
The pair broke the news to fans by sharing the same photo showcasing the giant engagement ring on Jennifer's left hand.
The marriage would have been the pop star's fourth and Alex's second.
Jennifer ended her first marriage to Ojani Noa in 1998 after 11 months and her nine-month marriage to dancer Cris Judd ended in 2002.
Actor Ben Affleck then proposed before they split in 2003.
JLo married Marc Anthony in June 2004 with the couple welcoming their twins in 2008. They split three years later.
