Jennifer Lawrence welcomes second child with husband Cooke Maroney

Congratulations are in order for Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence and husband Cooke Maroney, as they welcome their second child together.

Amidst buzz that the actress was set to welcome a second child under the radar, People confirmed that she has embraced motherhood in secret. The Hunger Games star, was first rumoured to have given birth when she was spotted out with Maroney without a visible baby bump.

Lawrence’s second pregnancy was confirmed in October 2024, and at the time, an insider hinted at her expected due date. “She loves being a mom,” the source told People. “She’s thrilled to be pregnant again. It feels like the perfect timing to her."

The couple’s first child, a son named Cy, is now three years old.

Since becoming a mother, Lawrence has spoken about how parenthood has influenced her career choices. In a 2023 conversation with actress Cameron Diaz for Interview magazine, she shared that having a child made her more selective about the projects she takes on.

“There’s no squeezing when you have a baby,” she said. “There’s just home, and it’s the best. It definitely helps weed out projects—‘Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. No. Is this worth being away from my child for half the day?’”

On the work front, Jennifer has lined up her next big role in a murder mystery The Wives, inspired by the hit television reality series Real Housewives. The Oscar winner's involvement in the project will extend beyond the screen as she is also set to produce.
