Jennifer Lawrence says 'trauma will exist forever' after nude photo leak in 2014

Jennifer Lawrence has said that the "trauma" of having private nude photos of herself leak will "exist forever."

The 31-year-old was one of a number of high-profile individuals, primarily women, who had generally intimate photos leaked on the internet by cyberhackers in 2014.

The Hunger Games star has reflected on the incident in a new interview with Vanity Fair, in which she highlighted that the violation of privacy continues seven years later.

The Oscar -winning actor said: "Anybody can go look at my naked body without my consent, any time of the day."

She further commented in the interview: "Somebody in France just published them. My trauma will exist forever."

Lawrence, who is currently expecting her first child with husband Cooke Maroney, also discussed her upcoming return to the big screen in satirical comedy Don't Look Up.

In the film, which is due to be released next month, her and Leonardo DiCaprio play scientists on a media tour to warn about an approaching comet that will destroy the planet.

It's been written, produced and directed by Adam McKay - who is known for collaborating with Will Ferrell on comedy films such as Step Brothers and Anchorman.

Don't Look Up features a star-studded cast alongside its two leads, including Jonah Hill, Tyler Perry, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande and Meryl Streep.

In a press release for the film, McKay said: "I've always been intrigued with the idea of finding a way to encapsulate these giant looming threats that we're faced with in this world, but to show it in a way that has a bit of fun with it."

Lawrence has previously said that she's "always wanted to work" with McKay and praising script for Don't Look Up.

She said: "It's maybe the funniest script I've ever read, and I thought it was such a poignant way to get such an important point across, that people don’t need to be fighting each other over science. We need to be fighting this collective war to save humanity together."

According to the Radio Times, it's set to be released in cinemas on December 10. It's expected to be available to stream on Netflix from December 24.
