Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about shooting intimate scenes with Robert Pattinson in their new film Die My Love, saying she felt so comfortable with him that she didn’t need an intimacy coordinator on set.

Speaking on the Las Culturistas podcast, the 34-year-old star said working with Pattinson was easy and professional. “We did not have [an intimacy coordinator], or maybe we did, but we didn’t really… I felt really safe with Rob,” she shared, adding that he’s “not pervy and very in love with [partner] Suki Waterhouse,”

Lawrence said that she and Pattinson bonded over their personal lives, often chatting about “our kids and relationships.” She explained there was never any discomfort or blurred lines, something she admitted isn’t always the case in Hollywood. “A lot of male actors get offended if you don’t want to f–k them, and then the punishment starts,” she said. “But he was not like that.”

Directed by Lynne Ramsay, the psychological drama follows a woman’s mental unraveling after childbirth, with Lawrence playing the lead and Pattinson as her distant husband. The film has already generated early Oscar buzz, with critics praising Lawrence’s raw performance.

The actor revealed she filmed some of her most vulnerable scenes while pregnant with her second child. Unlike her last nude scene in No Hard Feelings, this time she said she approached things differently. “I don’t care about n-dity. I’m not sensitive about it,” she said during a recent screening. “I wanted Lynne to have total freedom artistically… I think being pregnant took a lot of, like, vanity anxiety away.”

Lawrence explained that during earlier projects, she would stress about her body before filming such scenes, spending weeks dieting and training. This time, pregnancy shifted her perspective. Long shooting days and exhaustion made intense fitness routines impossible, but she said that also gave her a healthier mindset.

She even refused to have her body edited in post-production, recalling how she responded when someone suggested retouching a shot. “After being sent a close-up of cellulite, I remember saying, ‘No. That’s an a–.’”

Her grounded attitude has been widely praised by fans, who’ve long admired her honesty about fame and body image. For Lawrence, authenticity seems to matter more than looking perfect on screen.

The film marks another collaboration between acclaimed director Lynne Ramsay and an actor willing to take big risks for her craft. Die My Love delves into the emotional chaos of new motherhood and marital breakdown, themes that Lawrence has described as “terrifyingly real.”

With Pattinson earning praise for his understated performance as well, the movie is shaping up to be one of the year’s most anticipated awards contenders.
