Jennifer Garner's bathroom celebrates a stunning 2024 trend – it brightens and adds interest to her space

It's not everyday that a bathtub stops you in your tracks and makes you say "wow," but Jennifer Garner's tub certainly has that effect.

The actress's bathroom is a practical wonderland of contemporary trends, starting with that awe-inspiring soaking tub. Garner's bathing place is a cast iron, historically-inspired piece modernized by a white, porcelain interior. Wide plank floors and exposed beams bring the rustic warmth of a farmhouse-inspired space. White walls and white curtains tie into the contemporary energy of the porcelain in the tub. It's an all around stunner of a bathroom color scheme.

The cohesion of hues in large part comes from the way Garner has embraced a luxurious interior design trend: metallics. This gorgeous, stylish trend celebrates the beauty of natural metals, in a subtle, understated way.

'When we think about metallics, we often think of flashy finishes,' says Lena Gierasinska, furniture expert at Barker and Stonehouse. 'However, by choosing brushed gold and brass, metallics can add a sense of understated luxury to your space. The matte finish brings an elegant touch and works harmoniously with muted tones like sandy neutrals and organic fabrics like linen, making it the perfect finishing touch in a minimal-luxe scheme.'

Gierasinska continues on how Garner has decorated with silver: 'By pairing metallics with softer textures and tones, you’ll also bring an all-important sense of balance to your space, allowing your metallic accents to shine without overwhelming the room. On a more practical note, the matte nature of these finishes means they’re much easier to keep clean and polished - ideal for an effortless, minimal look.'

Furthermore, though this color combination is a current bathroom trend, it's also a timeless look. Jennifer Ebert, color expert and digital editor at Homes & Gardens states: 'The neutrality of this color scheme means that it will never go out of style. Garner's bathroom strikes the perfect balance between glamor and simplicity, the metallic shades bring some a higher gloss look which contrasts beautifully with the natural wood and matte white walls.'

Pairing an iron tub with classic, rustic wood creates a look that is at once contemporary and cozy. Follow Jennifer's lead with these soft natural pieces; a clawfoot on the tub adds a layer of comforting history, the pedestal is the perfect storage space, and the bath caddy makes soaking in the tub all the comfier.

If you're looking for a neutral bathroom color scheme with a little bit of edge, the metallic tub with wood and white is the perfect balance. Jennifer Garner is leading the charge.
