Jennifer Ellison has shared an edited photo on Instagram to highlight how easy it can be for app users to share an altered version of reality.
The former Brookside actress posted a couple of snaps while out with her sons this weekend.
In the first photo, a very glam-looking Jen has long, dark eyelashes and voluminous lips.

Her skin is also flawless.
A swipe left to the second image gives a realistic representation of her family day out, with Jennifer between two of her boys, with a small fishing net over her face.
She and her sons pull funny faces in the photo.
Captioning the post, the 38-year-old said: "Insta VS reality!!!
