A young mum has been thanked for her hard work after a challenging few months.
Teenager Jennifer Bell, from Newmains, was nominated for our Say it with Flowers competition by her mum Nicola’s friend Toni Hainey.
Toni said: “Jennifer has a beautiful daughter Zarah but she is a young mum now doing it all on her own so to show how amazing and courageous we all think she is I decided to nominate her.
“She deserves a treat and I want to show her she has all the support behind her.
“She deserves the recognition and she has the most beautiful wee girl that everyone adores.
“Myself and her mum are good friends and she has helped Jennifer a lot over the last few months but Jennifer is the one doing all the hard work.”
Jennifer’s mum Nicola was on hand earlier this week to present her with a beautiful bouquet thanks to our friends at Pixie’s Petals in Newmains.
She added: “She was only 17 when she had Zarah so it has been a big change for her but she has really done well and Zarah is just so beautiful.
“We are very close and we do lots of things together but she is a lot stronger than me.
“She has coped with everything really well.
“I’d just like to thank Toni for thinking of Jennifer and putting her forward for the competition.”
