Jennifer Aniston reveals secret ode to Rachel Green in Friends Reunion outfit

Jennifer Aniston has revealed the sweet way she paid homage to her character Rachel Green at the Friends reunion.

The 52-year-old actress took part in the TV special with her co-stars Courtney Cox, 56, Lisa Kudrow, 57, Matt Le Blanc, 53, David Schwimmer, 54, and Matthew Perry.

The show marked the first time the six co-stars had been in the same room together for 17 years with Friends coming to an end in May 2004.

When it came to choosing what to wear for the eagerly-anticipated comeback, Jen threw it right back to her days playing ditsy waitress turned fashion buyer Rachel Green.

As she sat down to chat about some highlights of Friends' 10 year run, Jen donned a sleeveless black roll-neck shirt that was very similar to a number of shirts she wore on the show.

The wardrobe choice might have gone unnoticed by fans so Jen took to Instagram to joke about how she'd borrowed a few style tips for Rachel.

Uploading a montage of snaps, Jen shared a glimpse of her rocking the signature polos right the way through the show and even up until the present day.

Elsewhere on the Reunion, Jen slipped into a plunging Saint Laurent bodysuit which retails at £700.

Like her co-stars, Jen has been revelling in the success of the Friends reunion and has treated fans to a number of backstage snaps since the show aired.

Proving the cast are just as close off camera, the actress shared a beaming snap of her and the gang posing for a selfie to mark the occasion.

She also shared David Schwimmers' delight in meeting Hailey Bieber, who made a cameo on the TV special with her husband Justin Beiber.

In one of the most talked about moments on the show, Jen and David stunned fans as they admitted that they used to fancy each other.

But rather than act on their feelings the pair decided to channel their attraction into Ross and Rachel.

David admitted: "The first season I had a major crush on Jen. At some point we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing (in the night), because one of us was always in a relationship.

“We never crossed that boundary, we respected that," he added.

Sharing the story of their first on-screen kiss. Jennifer said: "I remember saying at one point to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is..on national television!’

"Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop. So, we just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel."
