Jennifer Aniston admitted she almost quit Hollywood because it "sucked the life out of her".
Her role as Rachel Green on Friends propelled her into fame and acted as the launch pad for kick starting her high-flying career in Hollywood.
Quickly the bombshell - who reportedly has a net worth of $300million - became one of Hollywood's highest paid actresses after her career skyrocketed in the early 1990s.
But the actress, 51, was tempted to walk away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood which had made her a huge name.
She nearly dropped off the showbiz map just before she landed her award-winning role on TV series The Morning Show with Reese Witherspoon last year.
Jen shared her concerns with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett on Monday's Smartless podcast.
She said: "I would have to say the last two years that has crossed my mind, which it never did before."
The star almost closed the curtain on her acting career because a last-minute job left her feeling drained and disinterested in the last two years.
Friends' Jen expressed her frustration at being a part of an "unprepared project" which she vowed to never ever do again.
She added: "It was after a job I had completed and I was like, "Whoa, that was really… that sucked the life out of me. And I don't know if this is what interests me."
"It was an unprepared project, we've all been a part of them, you always say: "I'll never again! Never again! I will never back up into a start date!"'
Jen mixes with the great and the good of Hollywood's elite.
Her high-profile romance life has always been of a global interest.
Fascination gripped Hollywood when Jen and Brad were reunited in public for the first time since their divorce earlier this year.
But hopes of them getting back together were dashed as the actor has gone public with his new model love Nicole.
