Jennifer Aniston jokes about breaking the Internet after Friends reunion snap

Hollywood legend Jennifer Aniston has laughed about a recent selfie she posted that had the Internet going mad.

Jen, 50, recently joined Instagram and marked the occasion with a snap of her alongside her Friends co-stars.

Of course, fans went wild and lead some to joke that Jen had managed to break the Internet.

Now, she's made a triumphant return with a short video of her scrolling through her phone, before smashing it on the table and tossing it into a draw.

The star captioned the post: "I swear I didn't mean to break it...Thank you guys for the kind, glitchy welcome."

She's already racked up more than 10 million followers since joining Instagram a day ago.

Jen's not being contained to social media though, as she'll be storming back onto our screens with her new comedy-drama, The Morning Show.

The blond beauty has been candid about how much her character, journalist Alex Levy, means to her as a flawed and often troubled woman.

She said: "I wanted to feel vulnerable. I wanted to show the raw, the messy, the unflaterring. This is a woman holding it together."

The series focuses on Alex, alongside Reese Witherspoon's character, deal with sexism in the workplace among other relatable, down-to-earth challenges.

Jen added: "One of the challenges for my character is the trauma and turmoil going on in her private life and the toll that takes on her emotionally, physically, mentally, versus the character that she is when she has to get up, put on a face and smile to America."

It's a big project for Jen, and one that's close to her heart.

Despite the selfie with her Friends co-stars, though, it doesn't seem like a televised reunion is on the horizon.

She shot down fans' hopes when chatting on The Howerd Stern Show, saying: "We all miss it every day. I would be nothing without it...If there's a reboot of the show, it won't be as good as what it was, so why do it? It would ruin it."
