Jennifer Aniston has been considering giving up acting

In the past few years, Jennifer Aniston has taken on fantastic roles in projects such as Netflix’s Dumplin’ through to her award-winning series The Morning Show - which is why it comes as a surprise she’s been considering swapping careers. After having a rough experience with an “unprepared project”, she revealed that her interests have changed.

Speaking on the Smartless podcast alongside Will Arnett, Sean Hayes and her Horrible Bosses co-star Jason Bateman, she said, “‘I would have to say the last two years [changing careers] has crossed my mind, which it never did before.”

“I don’t know if this is what interests me,” she continued.

Instead, Aniston said that if she was to swap industries she would move into “interior design, probably.” She said, “I love it. It’s my happy place. It’s really a happy place for me.”

The Friends actor revealed one “unprepared project” which didn’t have a script ready “sucked the life out of me”, but did not name it. She said, “We’ve all been a part of them, you always say: “Never again! I will never back up into a start date!’”

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt in a Zoom reading of Fast Times in Ridgemont High

Aniston recently starred in a live table read for charity, reading alongside her ex-husband Brad Pitt in a Zoom version of Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The pair appeared to be on amicable terms and had an explicit scene together, where Pitt’s character fantasised about Aniston’s while in the bathroom.

Other actors involved in the star-studded production included Morgan Freeman, Shia LeBeouf, Julia Roberts, Matthew McConaughey, Henry Golding and more.

She has also moved into film and television behind the scenes, working as an executive producer on projects including The Morning Show, Dumplin’ and Murder Mystery since 2018.
