Jennifer Aniston has revealed that she didn't know who to text when she feared she was going to die in a plane crash.
The Friends star was on a flight from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico with some friends when the flight got into trouble.
The 50-year-old said everyone around her pulled out their phones and started texting their loved ones in fear of the worst, but that she had no idea who she should message in that moment.
But right at that moment, concerned friend Ellen DeGeneres, who had heard about the flight, texted to ask if she was okay.
Speaking about the terrifying experience on her show, Ellen said: "I hear from someone, 'Jen's plane is in trouble, they had an emergency landing', so I texted you right away."
Jennifer, who has a fear of flying, said: "What happened was, we were in flight, it was very turbulent and it's really bumpy and its sort of on a tilt, so it's about an hour and a half of white-knuckling it."
The star said the passengers were informed of the situation by crew members, leading to panic and people pulling out their phones to contact loved ones.
She added: "I was like, 'Who do I text?' Bing! ... You're the first person that was like, 'Are You OK?' - And I was like 'Ellen, I do have someone that loves me!' You were very concerned."
Jennifer was on the flight with Courtney Cox and Jimmy Kimmel's wife Molly, among others, who were flying out to Mexico to celebrate a friend's birthday.
The crew were forced to turn the flight around and go back to California to make an emergency landing after a rear tire blew out.
Jen and her fellow passengers had to remain calm over a six-hour effort to dump the fuel from the plane so they wouldn't risk a dangerous explosion on landing.
She went on: "It just shows you how irrational fear of flying is: When there's things that really you shouldn't be afraid of, and and when there's actually something you should be afraid of, you're not."
