Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer 'couple up in real life' after admitting chemistry

If real life was a Friends episode title, this would be The One We've All Been Waiting For.

Reports suggest that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are finally set to become an item in real life - nearly 30 years after the show first aired.

The duo, who play Rachel Green and Ross Geller on the iconic sitcom, admitted they had a real connection when the Friends cast reunited in May - much to the delight of fans.

But while the chemistry was real, they revealed they never actually hooked up in real life - until now it appears.

It has been reported that Jennifer, 52, and David, 54, have grown close again following the reunion special of the show earlier this year and insiders claim the pair have been spending time together at Jennifer's LA home.

A source told Closer magazine: "After the reunion, it became clear that reminiscing over the past had stirred up feelings for both of them and that chemistry they’d always had to bury was still there.

"They began texting immediately after filming and, just last month, David flew from his home in New York to see Jen in LA."

The pair, who played the much loved on-screen lovers from 1994 until 2004, admitted to reunion host James Corden that the timing was never right to pursue anything off-screen.

They told the host they had "crushed real hard" on one another during filming.

“I had a major crush on Jen,” David confessed during the HBO special in May.

Jennifer then replied: "It was reciprocated.”

David continued: "We were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing. One of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary."

But, as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait, and in the much-loved duo's case it seems like they're ready to give it a go nearly three decades after first meeting.

The source continued: "They’ve been spending time at Jen’s home, where she’s cooked dinners in the evenings, and have enjoyed quality time together, chatting and laughing.

"They were also spotted drinking wine, deep in conversation, as they walked around one of Jen’s favourite vineyards in Santa Barbara, where it was clear there was lots of chemistry between them.”

Away from romance, the Murder Mystery star has admitted she has had to cut people out of her life who won't get the Covid-19 immunisation.

Speaking to InStyle, she said: "I've just lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated], and it was unfortunate.

"I feel it's your moral and professional obligation to inform, since we're not all podded up and being tested every single day."
