Jenna Jameson has told her followers that she is "not able to walk" after she was hospitalised with Guillain-Barre Syndrome.
The 47-year-old former adult film star posted a video on Monday in which she spoke about the illness and how she will be remaining in hospital for the near future.
Speaking into the camera, Jenna said: "Hey guys, first of all thank you for all the love and support through my DMs.
"I see each and every one of you, and I appreciate it. The doctors suspect Guillain-Barré Syndrome and have started my [Intravenous Immunoglobulin] treatment.
"I am in the hospital and will likely remain here until treatment is complete. I hope to be out of here soon.”
Guillain-Barré Syndrome is described as a rare, autoimmune disorder in which a person’s own immune system damages the nerves, which causes muscle weakness and paralysis.
The condition can last for a few weeks to several years, even giving some people permanent nerve damage.
Former Celebrity Big Brother star Jenna added that the illness was not due to getting a vaccine against Covid-19.
The entertainer said she "did NOT get the [ coronavirus vaccine] or any jab,” adding, “This is NOT a reaction to the jab. Thank you for your concern."
Two days previously, Jenna's fans were concerned after her fiance, Lior Bitton, posted on her Instagram account that she was not "feeling so good” and had been “throwing up for a couple weeks.”
The 48-year-old businessman wrote at the weekend about Jenna: "She wasn’t able to walk to the bathroom.
"She was falling on the way back or to the bathroom, and then I would have to pick her up and take her to bed.
"And then within two days, it got really not so good. Her legs started to not hold her. She wasn’t able to walk.”
Lior, who shares a four year old daughter, Batel, with Jenna, added: "Today is her third day in the hospital. The hospital did CT, MRI and Spinal Tap tests.
"Waiting to find out what’s going on and how we can treat her so she can get better and feel better.”
Jenna and Lior got engaged in 2019, two years after the birth of their daughter, while Jenna also shares 12 year old twins, Jesse and Journey, with mixed martial arts fighter, Tito Ortiz.
