Mean Girls

Jenna Fischer recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at her experience filming the 2024 movie Mean Girls, where she portrayed the character Ms. Heron. Despite facing a challenging situation, Fischer demonstrated her dedication to her craft by continuing to film with a broken shoulder.

After sustaining the injury during a ski trip, Fischer returned to the set with her arm in a sling. To accommodate her condition, the crew made adjustments, such as having her exclusively gesture with her left arm throughout the movie. Fischer even revealed a subtle detail in the opening shot where she used her crossbody bag as a makeshift sling.

Reflecting on her recovery journey, Fischer mentioned that she is still undergoing physical therapy for her shoulder. She acknowledged the complexities of such an injury and the ongoing rehabilitation process.

Despite the challenges posed by her injury, Fischer expressed her enthusiasm for the project and praised the talented and kind cast of Mean Girls. She highlighted the camaraderie among the actors and their collective dedication to delivering a memorable performance.

Mean Girls also featured a stellar ensemble cast, including Reneé Rapp, Auli?i Cravalho, Jaquel Spivey, Avantika, Bebe Wood, Christopher Briney, Busy Philipps, and Jon Hamm. The movie included a cameo by Lindsay Lohan, the star of the original 2004 film, as well as appearances by Tina Fey and Tim Meadows reprising their roles.

Overall, Jenna Fischer's commitment to her role in Mean Girls, despite her injury, serves as a testament to her professionalism and passion for acting. Her resilience and positive attitude throughout the filming process are a testament to her dedication to delivering a quality performance.
