Jelly Belly Sparkling Water coming to the Midwest

Jelly Belly Sparkling Water will come in French vanilla, lemon lime, orange sherbet, pina colada, pink grapefruit, tangerine, very cherry and watermelon.  | Joffer Beverage Company

A new variety of flavored sparkling water will soon be available, and the flavor lineup will likely be familiar to candy fans.

Jacksonville, Oregon-based Joffer Beverage Company has created Jelly Belly jelly bean-flavored seltzer that will initially come in eight flavors.

Butter popcorn isn’t one of the flavors but the Jelly Belly Sparkling Water will come in French vanilla, lemon lime, orange sherbet, pina colada, pink grapefruit, tangerine, very cherry and watermelon.

Like most flavored seltzer beverages, the Jelly Belly seltzer is carbonated water with natural flavors. According to a news release, there are no sugar, calories or sweeteners.

The seltzer water will initially be sold at at 265 Hy-Vee stores around the Midwest and will be available in cartons of eight 12-ounce cans. It will also be available online at jellybelly.com soon and additional stores could sell it in the future.

Joffer Beverage Company was started in 2019 by members of the Jelly Belly candy-making family. While the candy company’s warehouse is in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, the seltzer will be made in Jacksonville, Oregon.

”The Jelly Belly brand promises fun, flavor and quality – characteristics that we believe sparkling water drinkers are looking for,” Justin Joffer, a co-founder of Joffer Beverage Co., said in the release. ”We want to bring excitement to the sparkling water category through unique and intense flavor experiences.”

More flavors could be added in the future.

With over 100 Jelly Belly flavors to choose from, the Joffer team is looking at developing “many more flavor options as the brand grows.”
