Hosts have reportedly called off several of Prince Andrew’s public engagements over his links to Jeffrey Epstein.
One of the events was said to be at Portrush railway station in Co Antrim, which has just had a £5million upgrade.
Details of others cancelled on the tour have reportedly not been released for security reasons.
Andrew, 59, is due to attend the Duke Of York Young Champions Trophy at Royal Portrush Golf Club, starting on Sunday.
He will also undertake “a number of engagements related to the tournament”, Buckingham Palace said.
The club’s committee is believed to have been warned his appearance would be “inappropriate” but decided not to withdraw the invitation.
Epstein killed himself in a Manhattan prison cell last month while facing child sex trafficking charges.
Prince Andrew has admitted knowing financier and convicted paedophile Epstein but denies witnessing “any behaviour of the sort that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction”.
On Saturday, the duke will fly to Belgium for the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Bruges from the Nazis – his first engagement since Epstein died.
