Jeff Stewart looks worlds away from The Bills Reg Hollis as he sports scraggly beard

His former Bill cast mates recently reunited in uniform at the fictional Sun Hill Police Station, 10 years after the long running ITV drama ended.

Actor Jeff Stewart, who played PC Reg Hollis, wasn't at the UKTV launch of the crime-fighting series.

Instead he was seen walking down the street sporting a scraggly beard in south-west London.

The former Bill star looks as though he has gone undercover as he is snapped with long hair and a beard of it's own.

Onlookers were shocked to discover the rouge looking man was none other than Reg from the hit TV show.

The 64-year-old – clean-cut fan fave PC Reg Hollis for 24 years – was beating the street in South West London.

And he is clearly now a law unto himself when it comes to his look.

The actor enjoyed playing the much-loved character for over two decades before the character was unexpectedly axed in 2008.

He was Sun Hill's police federation rep and known among colleagues for his love of model trains sets.

Jeff was in the show from the very beginning, although he didn't physically appear in the pilot episode.

His character Reg Hollis was mentioned only by name, and appeared for the first time in the first regular episode.

By March 2007, he was the last remaining member of the cast from that episode.

Jeff 'felt badly let down' by the shock axing, and left worried about his future career in TV.

But he overcame his problems and has continued to act in roles in Crossroads and Doctor Who.
