Jeff Bridges' tumour shrinks 'drastically' after cancer treatment

Jeff Bridges has shared some good news with fans in his cancer battle - saying his tumour has shrunk "drastically".

The 71-year-old actor shared in a post on his website that a CAT scan had revealed the good news.

Saying his treatment for the blood cancer Lymphoma was "working beautifully", he shared: "I go in for a CAT scan to see if my new protocol is shrinking my tumour."

The Big Lebowski star was "elated" with what doctors found: "The thing has drastically shrunk."

Jeff's good news came on the same day of the Capitol riots.

He explained: "I come home elated with the news. I turn on the TV to find out what's going in the world and… well… I don't have to tell you what's goin' on. To see our country attacking itself broke my heart."

The actor then talked of the late artist Rozzell Sykes, his mentor.

"A question rose in me - what's an individual to do in a situation like this? My mentor Rozzell Sykes came to mind. His mantra was BE LOVE.

"Aaaa… yeah… that's my path. Here's a taste of Rozzell."

It comes after he shared news of his diagnosis back in October, as he told his fans he was starting treatment and promised to keep them updated.

He later shaved his head while undergoing treatment.

Lymphoma is a type of blood cancer that develops when white blood cells called lymphocytes grow out of control and attack the immune system.
