Jeff Brazier shares emotional tribute as son Bobby, 19, makes first EastEnders appearance

Jeff Brazier has posted a sweet tribute to his son Bobby following his soap debut on Tuesday night.

Bobby appeared on our screens on EastEnders for the first time as he took on the role of Freddie Slater, who is Little Mo's son.

Proud dad Jeff couldn't hold back his excitement as he shared the sweet message ahead of the programme.

He wrote: "The boy Brazier makes his @bbceastenders debut this evening at 7.30pm.

"So proud. A wonderful moment for the whole family and anyone that has had this kids back through it all. Thank you for supporting my children."

Following his debut, Bobby appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain where he spoke to Richard Arnold about his experience in The Square.

Richard asked the teenager what he thought his late mum Jade Goody would think of him breaking into showbiz when Bobby said he knows she'd be proud of him.

In his first episode, Bobby's character Freddie arrived in Albert Square when he started to watch his mum's ex-husband Billy Mitchell to see what he was up to.

Freddie then went on to steal food from Stacey’s Baps before running away from the market and trying to jump the tube.

He ended up being caught by guards and then revealed that he was homeless and he was only saved when Bobby Beale gave him £20.

But Freddie didn't end up leaving Walford and instead went to the pub where Billy was trying to reunite with his ex-wife Honey.

Freddie ordered two pints and walked over to Billy who then recognised him as the market thief.

Billy threatened to call the police as he said: "You’ve got some front, ain’t ya. I saw you thieving off the market, we’ve got witnesses. So you sit there like a good little boy while I phone the old bill."

But Freddie stayed calm and replied: "Sure, whatever you say. I got you this. Name’s Freddie by the way. Mo’s kid. I’m your son."

However, fans at home know that he isn't really Billy's son.

Viewers praised Bobby for his first appearance on the programme.

One wrote: "Your mum would be so proud of you Bobby," as another said: "Well done Bobby, he smashed it."

A third added: "Excellent debut for Freddie! That final scene with Billy and Honey, great reveal. How great is Bobby Brazier."

It was announced just a few weeks ago that Bobby would be joining the EastEnders cast.

EastEnders posted a photo of Bobby to their Instagram page, announcing that he would be making his acting debut.

They wrote: "@bobbybrazier is set to make his acting debut as he joins the cast of #EastEnders in the role of Freddie Slater, the son of Little Mo Slater. Bobby is currently filming scenes that are set to air this autumn."
