Jeff Brazier admitted that he's having "marriage problems" with his wife of one year Kate Dwyer, but it seems their difficulties were there long before he spoke out.
Just weeks ago the TV presenter, 40, complained about "never seeing" PR consultant Kate because of the long hours she works.
Rumours of trouble in their relationship were sparked when they both unfollowed each other on Instagram .
It came after he said that Kate is often away from home working, telling The Sun Online: "I think when you deal with PRs, you know they work incredibly long hours, especially if they're good because it means they're sought after, and it means they're always sort of, they're always on new projects and stuff...
"So actually, a lot of the time she doesn't really get home until quite late, so it means that the family sort of aspect at home, family environment, it pretty much hasn't really changed that much.
"But I guess there's a sense of responsibility on my part to look after four instead of three, and yeah that's probably it actually."
After fans expressed their concerns about their marriage, Jeff released a statement about their problems.
A spokesperson said: "There is categorically no split between Jeff and Kate.
"They have had some difficulties but they are doing their utmost to work through them together and will continue to do so in private."
The couple had not been pictured together since August when Jeff posted pictures of them enjoying a weekend away in Manchester with his sons Bobby and Freddie.
Jeff, who shares his boys with the late Jade Goody, has previously gushed about his relationship with Kate.
He told Hello! magazine last year: "I'm so happy to marry Kate, who has brought so much stability to my life."
The dad-of-two added: "She hasn't just completed one person, she's completed a family and given three boys a real sense of belonging."
