Jeff Brazier admits he's done a huge parenting U-turn after son's apprenticeship

Jeff Brazier said his two sons 'couldn't be happier' as he revealed he'd undergone a huge parenting U-turn.

The presenter, who has Bobbie and Freddie with late partner Jade Goody, had a proud dad moment on social media last month as he told fans his eldest was .

Speaking of his boys to the Mirror Online, Jeff said: "I'm so proud. They couldn't be in a better place right now.

"Bobby's been working three or four weeks and he's learning a lot."

Jeff said he thought it was 'fantastic' his son has dived straight in and joked he was hoping to learn a few tips on running his Instagram and Twitter pages from him.

The dad also told the Mirror that his 'confident' eldest boy has also signed up to a modelling agency, but he was mindful that his two boys did not use their parents name to get ahead.

"I've always impressed on them that you need to have skills first. You don't want to be 'just a reality star', or worse 'the son of'," said Jeff.

Jeff, 40, who first found fame as a contestant on Channel 4 Shipwrecked, said he spent years trying to sway his boys away from the showbiz world.

But after retraining as a life coach in recent years, Jeff said he's had a change of heart and will support his kids in whatever career they choose.

"I've spent the last however many years of their childhood telling them not to [go into TV] so it would be ironic now if they did," said Jeff.

"I've had a mixture of experiences some amazing and some crushing ones. I wouldn't want them to go through a lot of the things that I did," said Jeff.

With the clocks going back this week, Jeff is working on a campaign with beer brand Sol to raise awareness of the importance the sun has on mental well-being.

He will be attending the launch of The Sol Bar in London's Shoreditch - open until 26 October - which will be filled with sun lamps giving out the optimal amount of sunlight in a day to customers.

Jeff, who now works as a life coach, said: "I’m all about positivity and trying to enjoy every moment in life."

Giving out his best tips for staying positive in dark times, Jeff said: "A lot of the time we can feel like we're on the receiving end and are powerless to the negative but there always things we can do to help ourselves feel better.

"We all have negative thoughts but if you try and stay mindful of being as positive as possible then that can give you some accountability as to where your mind drifts off to.
