Soon after the ink dried on Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' billion-dollar divorce settlement from his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie, his mistress Lauren Sanchez has filed for divorce from her estranged husband Patrick Whitesell.
They both filed divorce petitions in Los Angeles and Page Six has reported that the divorce will be a formality, with Sanchez and her Hollywood power agent estranged husband spending the past six months negotiating the terms of their separation.
The timing of the divorce filings is apparently coincidental, coming less than 24 hours after Jeff Bezos agreed a $36billion deal with his ex-wife, who walks away with a 25% share of their joint $144bn stake in Amazon.

A source told Page Six: "Lauren and Patrick mediated and agreed to everything in private, including child custody - the filing is simply procedural.
"There is no contest and it is hoped a judge will rubber stamp the filing and the divorce will be finalized in a few months' time."
The reason why there is no contest is due to the pair filing exactly the same papers and they worked with celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser to help negotiate the terms.

Sources have indicated that the pair had been separated for so long, that they had already began discussing details of their divorce, long before the affair between Bezos and Sanchez was made public in January.
Sanchez and Whitesell are asking for joint custody of their two children and neither is asking for child or spousal support.
The Bezos divorce has left MacKenzie has the fourth richest woman in the world, after she accepted $35 billion.

Jeff, 55, remains the world's richest man on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, though his net worth has fallen from $150 billion to $116 billion.
MacKenzie declared herself "happy" with the settlement, in a tweet after the divorce was confirmed.
Bezos and Sanchez, who had agreed to stay apart until their divorces were finalised, are expected to join up and are 'planning their future together'.
