Jeep flips on to roof after crash in small Nottinghamshire village

Firefighters were called to the scene of a shocking crash in a small Nottinghamshire village. East Leake Fire Station has released a photo of the collision in Willoughby on the Wolds, on the border with Leicestershire.

Police and firefighters were called to the scene on Saturday night, July 8. The car occupants were out of the vehicle prior to the arrival of emergency services, reads a statement released by East Leake Fire Station.

A photo from the scene shows a red jeep turned on to its roof, visibly damaged. This was the third call the crews responded to on Saturday, which the station has described as a "busy night".

Crews also attended a flat fire at a high rise, and a second call was to a shed fire in Gotham. Firefighters from West Bridgford Fire Station attended the fire in the Nottinghamshire village.

East Leake Fire Station added: "Although we are a little station for the county and we are not as busy as other stations. Our crew provides amazing cover for its community.

"Making way for the availability of our fire engine to respond. This can interfere with social events, primary employment and sleep. We are proud to continue to provide excellent cover for the area."
