Jedward have teased their fans with a preview of their new song Treat Me Like A Human.
They have been the unexpected voice of the nation throughout the pandemic, winning praise on social media for speaking out about wearing masks and sticking to social distancing rules.
And now John and Edward Grimes – who first shot to fame on The X Factor in 2009 – revealed they are working on their fifth album.
Announcing the news with a teaser of their new tune Treat Me Like A Human, the twins said they want their new music to be a help to fans navigating life in the pandemic.
The 29-year-olds added: “Treat Me Like A Human is a song we want to share with you from our next album.
“Hope it will help anyone going through these crazy times.” The duo shared the snippet of the track via social media at the weekend.
It includes the lyrics: “Now I won’t let nobody treat you like that together we can soar.
“Just know that somebody finally cares, I’ll wipe away all of your tears.
“Cuz Baby you treat me like a human, when I’m fragile and I’m feeling broken.”
Fans and pals rushed to congratulate the pair, with Imelda May leading the charge saying: “Whoop whoop!!!”
