Jedward's Edward Grimes claims he was visited by the spirits of his relatives after recent surgery.
The pop singer was taken to hospital on Saturday to have his appendix out.
Following his discharge, the 29-year-old said he felt a strange presence in the corner of his room on his return home.
He added: “I’ve seen two white spirit auras radiating energy in my room.
“Honestly think it’s past family members welcoming me back. I’m not an expert but I know the energy I felt.

“I feel this sense of calm and love. It’s hard to believe but I was one of those people that doubted spirits and auras but when it happens you suddenly have this instinct to be made aware of presences.
“You aren’t alone there is guardian angels or energies around us all. I even had to call a family member. It was the middle of the night and I’m calling, calling, calling.
“They could even see this radiating thing in the corner. I thought I was imagining things but then I just needed someone to be there to actually go, ‘Ok something is going on’.”
The singer said it wasn’t his first experience of this sort.
Taking to Jedward’s official Instagram, which boasts 209,000 followers, he posted: “This happened years ago in the same room. This is like me angelic back in the day. Hadn’t drank, hadn’t done anything.
“I don’t drink, I don’t do weed or any of these things. Fair enough if you want to do those things, great. But when you have a clear mind and you know exactly this feeling, and it’s obviously indescribable because it is not the normal thing.
“The confusion of not knowing 100% who or what it was makes it even more emotional.”
“Deep down we all know who we want to come back to in some kind of sign or energy,” he added.
The star has been documenting his time in hospital on his Instagram Stories after revealing he had been in a "life-threatening situation".
Edward said on Saturday after undergoing tests and CT scans: “I’ve never experienced excruciating pain like this and knew something wasn’t right.
“I’m grateful it was caught in time. Just knowing the feeling that your body and appendix can [lead] you to poisoning yourself is insane.”
In an emotional post before leaving the hospital, he thanked the emergency team for their hard work.
He also reflected on his time and the people he met, including the "kindest caring soul" in his room and someone he "could marry one day".
Edward said he would write about the experience in a chapter in an autobiography one day.
He went on: "Never been this vulnerable and just overcoming it all I feel this new energy from within me.
"The pain and laughs all mixed into hilarious chats and bonds with wonderful memories that should be tragic but made me grow.
"I feel like I've been on a wild dream and I'm happy you all enjoyed the trip too."
