Jedward protest on top of a car during Black Lives Matter march in Hollywood

Pop star twins Jedward have been protesting atop a car in West Hollywood in support of the Black Lives Matter campaign.

The former  X Factor contestants, full names John and Edward Grimes, have been spending the coronavirus pandemic in lockdown with American Pie star Tara Reid in Los Angeles, California.

Today on Blackout Tuesday, the Irish twins posted a video of one of them standing atop a car in West Hollywood amongst protesters.

They can be seen holding a placard saying "Black Lives Matter" and chanting "No justice, no peace" repeatedly.

Jedward are two of countless celebrities joining the global movement against racism and seeking justice for the killing of George Floyd.

They also added: "There should be no more hurt. Keep making your voices heard. Together we stand united. Enough is Enough! #BlackLivesMatter ".

"Freedom You Deserve #BlackLivesMatter," they wrote in a caption of a photo of one of the pair holding the placard seen in the video and posing with it in front of military personnel.

Meanwhile, Tara Reid recently discussed her living situation with Jedward whilst in lockdown.

Speaking on her podcast We Hear, she said: "The other guys I'm also quarantining with are my two best friends that I've grown up with... do you know who Jedward is?"

The boys then comment that it is "like a season of Big Brother except for the coronavirus pandemic".
