Jedward in Twitter spat with Jim Corr over anti-mask and anti-lockdown protest in Dublin

Jedward told Jim Corr to ‘Runaway’ after the musician was spotted at a controversial anti-mask rally in Dublin city centre.

The pop stars were engaged in a bitter Twitter spat after Jim shared videos promoting the anti-lockdown protest.

Four people were arrested during the march on Custom House Quay on Saturday afternoon.

Hundreds had gathered in Dublin to condemn the “unconstitutional” lockdown, with the large crowds showing little physical distancing.

The protest in the capital was organised by Health Freedom Ireland, with the aid of Yellow Vest Ireland.

And former X Factor stars Jedward were among the first to slam the “selfish low lives” attending the rally.

The pair took aim at The Corrs star for supporting the event, joking that he would leave the country “breathless” because of his “idiotic behaviour.”

Jim hit back at the twins, telling them to “shut up” and “grow a brain between you”.

But referencing the band’s hit single, the pop duo responded: “Why don’t you just go and ‘Runaway’ and FYI your sisters never needed you please leave the band.”

They later added: “Everyone has the right to protest but it’s not peaceful or making change when the consequences are more deaths! that’s not democracy it’s murder!”

And the scrap provoked a huge reaction on social media, with one user writing: “What is going on with the world when Jedward are the voices of reason.”

While RTE 2FM DJ Eoghan McDermott added: “Jedward dunking on Jim Corr for his involvement in an anti-mask protest march is the tonic a golf-weary nation needs!”
