Jed Wallace reveals what Kiko Casilla said to him before Millwall's penalty against Leeds United

Millwall midfielder Jed Wallace laughed off the 'mind games' that Kiko Casilla tried to play with him before he opened the scoring from the penalty spot against Leeds United .

The Lions won a 14th-minute penalty at The Den when Gaetano Berardi was adjudged to have brought Tom Bradshaw down in the box, with the Swiss also receiving his marching orders for the foul.

Wallace stepped up to take the spot kick and opened up on the distraction technique employed before the penalty was taken.

"They had a few mind games," the 25-year-old said following his side's 2-1 win.

"The 'keeper was trying to delay it and ask me what I liked to drink in the afternoons and how I was and what I'm up to tonight, but I just ignored him and put it in and then ran off."

While Leeds fans questioned referee James Linington's decision to award Berardi what is the eighth red card of his Leeds United career, Wallace admitted that he was not entirely sure if the law was applied correctly.

"He's going to get a shot on goal and he's pulled him down. I don't actually know the rule 100 per cent on what's a red card. Is it if you don't try to play the ball it's a red, so maybe he had to send him off as well."

Millwall doubled their advantage on the stroke of half-time and although Leeds were able to pull a goal back through Gjanni Alioski within 20 seconds of the restart, Wallace felt that the Lions were good for their win.

"Good one to get in and then went in 2-0 up at half-time and we tried our hardest to mess it up straight away from kick-off. To be fair they didn't have a chance after that. They had a lot of the ball but we're not possession-based team as everyone knows and we held out and got there in the end."
