Jean Johansson gushes over 'devastatingly handsome' Sam Heughan as he scooped Scottish Bafta

Jean Johansson gushed over receiving a kiss on the cheek from Sam Heughan after presenting him with an award at the Scottish BAFTAs.

The TV presenter awarded Heughan, 42, with the Audience Award for his role as Jamie Fraser in the hit Starz series Outlander. Taking to social media, Jean, 40, raved about the Dumfries born actor writing: "I’m not going to lie, a highlight of the night was getting a kiss from the devastatingly handsome @samheughan @outlander_starz.

"A gentleman and a worthy winner of the #audienceaward @baftascotland #samheughan #outlander #aweekiss "

Outlander fans were delighted when the Scots actor took home the gong at the BAFTAs, as he was joined by Caitriona Balfe who plays his on screen wife Claire Fraser. During a speech at Glasgow's DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, the actor said: "If you didn't know, Outlander is this wee show that started in 2012.

"In a tiny little abandoned electrics factory in Cumbernauld. We now call it Cumbernollywood."

Sam shared the video on Instagram to his 3.9million followers, which has been 115,000 times, with almost 3,000 comments. He captioned the clip: "Passionately proud of @outlander_starz and all that it has brought to Scotland! Delighted to be honoured by the fans @baftascotland."

Co-star and collaborator Graham McTavish commented on the post: "Well said buddy. Very proud of you pal!"

Tim Downie, who plays Governor Tryon in the hit series, wrote: " Congratulations!! Excellent, excellent speech x"

Fans quickly jumped on the post to congratulate the actor on his award win. One said: " Congratulations Sam. We, the audience, gave you this award a long time ago. It's wonderful to see BAFTA Scotland finally catch up! Your portrayal of Jamie Fraser has been remarkable for six seasons. Thank you for bringing him to life with such care and love."

"Now that is is an acceptance speech! Talking about everything that has help the show and the country," penned a second. A third said: "Love Outlander. I have rewatched each season several times. Just love hearing all you voices. Can't wait for Season 7"
